Job Summary
Analyze customer orders and optimize delivery routes using Roadnet software packages to ensure timely and efficient service.
Responsibilities:
- Routinely review customer orders to create the most efficient delivery routes while adhering to established procedures, protocols, and customer commitments.
- Develop and implement route plans, including integrating new customers and determining necessary adjustments due to seasonality.
- Analyze existing routes to identify opportunities for cost savings and improved consistency.
- Perform routine route maintenance to capture changes and updates.
- Schedule drivers within overtime guidelines and hours of service laws and regulations, including adjustments for volume and holidays.
- Provide accurate daily loading and door information for the warehouse department.
- Presents data-driven insights and proposals to sales management and executive staff to improve service areas and expense control.
- Maintain compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and other applicable regulations.
- Manage and update Roadnet system.
- Prepare reports for sales and management, highlighting transportation management opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred.
- Professional Skills:
- Computer Proficiency: MS Office (Excel), spreadsheet and word processing software.
- Mathematical and Analytical Skills: ability to perform basic arithmetic operations and analyze data.
- Effective Communication: able to prepare reports, business correspondence, and present data-driven insights to various stakeholders.
- Knowledge of Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
