SUMMARY
Provides supply chain support for key accounts, including reporting, forecast adjustments, maintaining high service levels, and on-boarding new accounts. Additionally, the Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for improving inventory performance by optimizing stocking decisions and providing supply chain support to special projects.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
Required: Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of applicable work experience in the areas of buying, demand management, forecasting, inventory management, or product information management OR High School diploma or GED equivalent and 6 years of relevant work experience in the areas of buying, demand management, forecasting, inventory management, or product information management OR equivalent combination of education and experience. Intermediate to Advanced level proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite (specifically Word and Excel)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Provides supply chain support for key multi-unit accounts. Review inventory watch lists to ensure forecast accuracy and high service level. Work with suppliers and buyers to expedite critical materials.
- Meet with sales as needed to support transitions, watch list maintenance, special projects, and supplier issues. Manage stocking status for spec materials.
- Act as liaison between Merchandising and Supply Chain on transitions and promotions.
- Collect information regarding Merchandising projects. Run and analyze required data to develop an implementation plan. Execute, monitor and adjust the plan as necessary. Analyze Line Item Diverts and Central Stocking Strategies. Analyze data and make recommendations for changes.
- Update material replacements, alternates, complements, and customer material restrictions. Ensure that Master Data Settings (MRP) are correct in SAP.
- Perform source changes as requested.
- Keep Manager informed of issues within area of assigned responsibility. Escalate issues beyond scope of authority to appropriate parties.
