We are seeking a skilled Supply Chain Associate to join our team at Sysco. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that products are loaded onto trailers according to established company and customer standards.
Main Responsibilities
- Loading products onto trailers according to established company and customer standards.
- Reading pick sheets and traveling to proper warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
- Selecting the right products and ensuring they are handled and stored safely.
- Building pallets according to established food safety procedures.
- Maintaining a clean and safe work environment.
- Communicating effectively with the management team.
- Operating all company warehouse equipment safely.
- Reporting equipment issues.
- Completing paperwork and using a wearable computer to track time spent on assignments.
- Working assigned schedules and exhibiting regular attendance.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent degree.
- Six months of previous warehouse experience preferred, or equivalent work experience in place of a degree.
- A valid forklift and pallet jack license/certification.
- Knowledge of safe lifting procedures and food safety guidelines.
- The ability to build pallets quickly, accurately, and safely, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and maneuver in tight areas.
- Basic math skills and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
