This Operations position is responsible for supervising the activities associated with Delivery, ensuring compliance with government regulations, and maintaining the safety and security of the delivery department.
Main Responsibilities
- Supervise delivery associates to ensure they adhere to standard operating procedures and provide safe and efficient customer service.
- Manage labor hours and consumable supplies within operational guidelines.
- Prepare work schedules, including extra work days and shifts as needed.
Education and Experience
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
- Two or four-year college degree in Business Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar major preferred.
Certifications
- Complete a Sysco-approved defensive driving program.
- HazMat certification preferred.
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver License meeting Company standards preferred.
Professional Skills
- Ability to communicate effectively with sales management and marketing associates.
- Interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
