Starting Pay : $17.75
JOB SUMMARY
This position plays a crucial role in supporting our customers by expertly hand-building pallets of products and efficiently loading them onto trailers following established company and customer standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Reading pick sheets and navigating to the appropriate warehouse locations using a pallet jack.
- Picking correct product types and quantities, labeling products, placing them on pallets, and loading pallets onto trucks according to established zones and locations.
- Handling products and building pallets in accordance with established food safety procedures, including performing visual inspections for damages and arranging products to avoid cross-contamination.
- Maintaining a clean and safe warehouse environment in accordance with company standards, taking corrective action when spills or damaged items are discovered, and properly disposing of trash and recycling.
- Communicating with the management team regarding any issues, including product discrepancies, out of stocks, safety concerns, and food safety issues.
- Safely operating all warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and scanners, as per company standards.
- Reporting any equipment issues to a management team member.
- Completing necessary paperwork and utilizing a wearable computer to accurately track time spent on assignments for productivity reporting.
- Exhibiting regular and predictable attendance while working the assigned schedule and performing overtime as needed to meet workload demands.
- Performing related duties as assigned.
