Position: Janitor
Reports To: Supervisor/Program Manager
Department: CAE/Doss Aviation IFT - Pueblo, CO
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Supervises: None
General Function
This position must provide a clean, comfortable, and welcoming environment for all students, staff, and visitors to Doss Aviation. Promote sanitary conditions that help inhibit odors and the transference of germs. May be required to perform tasks, which involve exposure to blood or other bodily fluids.
Major Activities (Typical Duties/Responsibilities)
Ability to follow required procedures for securing, clean up, and disposition of such materials, in accordance with the OSHA Blood-Borne Pathogen Standard and other safety guidelines instituted by Doss Aviation.
Must be a very detailed and customer service oriented individual. Follow through on any issues or requests brought to your attention is vital.
Must lead by example. This position has high visibility.
Maintain all regular janitorial duties as well as General Manager and Assistant General Manager, directed projects.
Ensure his/her area projects the standards of Doss Aviation.
Foster a good working environment with other Janitorial associates.
Report directly to the AGM, and the GM.
Responsible for the cleaning of all areas assigned.
Be prepared to discuss janitorial issues (both professional and personnel related) with the AGM, and the GM.
Work directly with the AGM, and the GM to ensure all special projects are completed in a timely manner.
Attend the weekly staff meeting of the GM.
Promote safety, at all times, and provide excellent Customer Service.
Help with weekly Inventory and monthly metrics as directed.
Complete janitorial work orders in a timely manner.
Conduct daily inspections of his/her area.
Must be flexible with schedule to include days off.
Maintain professionalism in all matters of business.
May be tasked to research and offer suggestions for more efficient and cost-effective cleaning methods and materials.
Other duties as assigned.
Skills and Abilities
Employee will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, push, pull.
Lifting required up to 50 pounds.
Available to work a flexible schedule.
Employee must be responsible for attendance, punctuality and consistent work performance during scheduled work times.
Ability to be exposed to various types of cleaning machinery
Ability to work with minimal supervision
Drug Screen and Background Check: Pass with the ability to maintain throughout employment.
MINIMUM Experience:
Education: High School Diploma/Equivalent
Experience: 1 - 2 Years janitorial/cleaning/related work experience
Computer Skills: Basic
