Position: Hardware Test Engineer
Location: Austin, TX- Onsite
Position Type: W2 Contract Position.
Responsibilities are as follows:
- Support FW Engineering Dock team for Dock related validation
- Able to work independently on troubleshooting of reported issues, including general triage & debug
- Coordination with key stakeholders from development teams, architects and PMs for resolution of open issues
- Work with architects on new proof-of-concept feature setup and validation execution
- Collection and analysis of debug logs, analyzer logs including Logic Analyzer, USB Analyzer, PD Analyzer, and DP Aux Analyzer
- Familiar with testing in different types of network environment
- Provide weekly status reports for reported issues and progress and validation progress report for proof-Of-Concepts features to distribute to relevant stakeholders
Knowledge and Skills:
- Computer Engineering/EE/Computer science degree
- Able to work independently with minimal instructions
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
- Highly proficient with Windows 10 & 11
- Experience working well with partners, internal and external.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- USB/USB-C related knowledge
- Experienced with Docking Technologies
- Experienced with PD (Power Delivery) protocol
- Experienced with DisplayPort protocol
- Experienced with Network protocols
- Experienced with Debug tools
- Logic analyzer (Saleae)
- USB analyzer
- PD analyzer
- DP aux analyzer
- Strong Collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to review hardware schematics
