JOB DESCRIPTION :
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
Support system hardening activities on various operating systems and applications to enhance security posture.
Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify potential risks and implement corrective measures.
Work collaboratively with IT, engineering, and other departments to ensure security controls are integrated into the system development and administration lifecycle.
Conduct security audits and prepare detailed reports outlining findings and recommendations.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security , CompTIA Network , CompTIA Linux ) are a plus.
Trip wire skills and NERC-CIP knowledge are a plus
Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a cybersecurity analytical role, with demonstrable expertise in system hardening, networking, and system administration.
In-depth knowledge of security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001, and CIS Controls.
Strong understanding of TCP / IP networking, network protocols, and network security technologies.
Experience with security information and event management (SIEM) tools and other security monitoring tools.
Experience with system administration in Windows and Unix / Linux environments, including user management, system backups, and script automation.
Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) for security and administrative tasks automation.
Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to critically and rapidly analyze and address security incidents.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex security concepts to a non-technical audience.
