Job Description :

  • Leverages design tools to deliver artifacts and templates for supporting team members
  • Collaborates closely with product managers, engineers and design leads to understand and deliver against project requirements
  • Develops understanding and empathy for users through user-centered methodologies, external analysis, research, and data
  • Presents design decisions to peers and partners with support from senior colleagues
  • Learns to utilize American Express design process, design systems and best practices
  • Participates in design community

Qualifications :

  • At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience working in a professional environment, preferably something within finance or agency
  • BA / BFA in something design related
  • A styling portfolio of your previous work
  • Ability to understand project requirements and concepts
  • Ability to process feedback from others improve designs
  • Have a creative voice and feel comfortable communicating your design ideas to other team members.
  • Highly skilled using Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite, Sketch, and Figma
  • HTML and CSS skills are a plus - but not required
  • Experience utilizing tables in Outlook is a HUGE plus
