Facilities Coordinator (First Shift; some weekend and evening work)
The Facility Coordinator and Maintenance plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of the industrial facility. This position serves as the central point of contact for coordinating all maintenance activities, including preventive, corrective, and emergency repairs. Additionally, the Facility Coordinator oversees construction, expansion, and renovation projects, ensuring they are executed on time, within budget, and according to safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will also have skills to perform a limited number of maintenance activities themselves, as well as work closely with internal teams, contractors, and vendors to maintain a safe, efficient, and well-functioning facility that meets the operational needs of the organization.

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Plan, schedule, and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
- Collaborate with maintenance technicians and external vendors to ensure timely repairs.
- Monitor and manage maintenance logs, work orders, and service requests through CMMS or other tracking systems.
- Conduct routine facility inspections to identify maintenance needs and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Coordinate construction, renovation, and expansion projects with contractors, engineers, and relevant departments.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure smooth execution.
- Track progress and communicate project status to management and stakeholders.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and internal policies.
- Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with service-level agreements (SLAs).
- Ensure all activities comply with safety standards, OSHA regulations, and company policies.
- Support emergency preparedness planning, including fire safety, evacuation drills, and equipment inspections.
- Coordinate waste management and sustainability initiatives within the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of facility activities, maintenance schedules, and compliance documentation.
- Prepare reports and metrics on facility performance for management.
- Performs maintenance activities as needed, including but not limited to: small plumbing repairs, light bulb replacements, attaching and moving signage, small painting jobs and sheetrock repair.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
What Makes You a Great Fit?
- Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
- 3 years of experience in facility coordination, project management, or maintenance supervision, preferably in an industrial setting.
- Strong knowledge of facility systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and building management systems (BMS).
- Familiarity with OSHA standards, safety protocols, and relevant environmental regulations.
- Experience managing maintenance software tools (e.g., CMMS) and project tracking software.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Ability to manage budgets, negotiate with vendors, and oversee project timelines.
- Problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving facility-related issues.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA’s FMP or CFM) is a plus.
- Ability to operate power tools, proficient with drywall repair, painting and small electrical work.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software as required to complete and maintain records.
- Preference for proficiency with AutoCAD
