EV Battery Service Technician - Regional Traveling Position
Must be willing to travel regionally for 3 weeks at a time. This is a 3 weeks on / 1 week off schedule.
About the Role
We are seeking an EV Battery Service Technician to inspect, test, and maintain industrial and commercial EV batteries at our service center. This role involves assessing battery health, executing maintenance, and ensuring proper storage and recycling of batteries. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with high-voltage electrical systems, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Responsibilities
Inspect, test, and grade industrial and commercial EV batteries for physical and operational performance.
Perform periodic maintenance to ensure batteries meet OEM storage requirements.
Collect and document validation results, including state of health, capacity, and voltage measurements.
Install and configure controls-related firmware.
Ensure all personnel adhere to safety protocols.
Package and prepare non-usable batteries for shipment to recycling facilities.
Operate mechanical lifting equipment to move batteries within a warehouse environment.
Work directly with customers to receive orders, address issues, and ensure high-quality service delivery.
Qualifications :
Must be willing to work 3 weeks on / 1 week off schedule
Must be willing to travel regionally for 3 weeks at a time
Relevant experience in field engineering, electrical power systems, or the energy sector (EV experience preferred).
Knowledge of high-voltage or direct current (DC) electrical equipment and principles.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to develop processes and documentation.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple projects.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Demonstrated leadership, teamwork, and accountability.
Compensation & Benefits
Pay Range : $25.00 - $35.00 per hour (based on national average).
