Mechanical Design Engineer, PE - Power Generation (mid-level)
Job Information :
Requires onsite work based out of Vorhees, NJ (or our Philadelphia office, or our Princeton office) and occasional regional travel to visit clients (please do not apply if you seek only remote work, must work "in-office"). "Mid-Level" position - experience required. PE license required.
Direct hire, well established engineering firms with offices across New Jersey, Pennsylvania and New York.
Direct hire, paying $125,000 - $170,000 annually plus full benefits package (medical, vision, dental, 401K, PTO, Paid Holidays, etc.
Must possess Professional Engineer (PE) license
Mechanical Design Engineer, PE Responsibilities :
Develops & designs 2D / 3D computer models for equipment systems such as : chilled water systems, heat recovery, industrial turbines, internal combustion engines, pumping systems, and cooling systems
Creates designs and layouts (AutoCad & Revit)
Reference mechanical drawings, prints, diagrams, reviews client expectations, special requests, change modifications and ensures system designs adhere to Local, State and Federal regulations
References ASME code : VIII & B31.1 along with NFPA frequently
Familiarizes self with power plant process, operations and economics
Works closely with Project Manager, attends meetings including pre-bid, construction updates and special meetings to address progress, concerns or change orders
Discusses designs, layouts and other project to update other staff, clients or other stakeholders
Reviews projects to ensure standards and requirements meet client expectations
Mechanical Design Engineer, PE Requirements :
Must possess Professional Engineer (PE) license and desire to join a fast-grow, sophisticated and reliable engineering firm and have the drive to push projects to completion on-time, on-budget and within client parameters. "Make-it-happen attitude."
4-year Bachelor of Science Engineering degree from an accredited US college or university is a must. MBA preferred. PE requirement cannot be waived.
At least four (4) years of progressively increasing Mechanical Design responsibilities within the Mechanical Engineering sector, preferrable from another full service engineering firm.
Must possess confident communication skills, be able to speak at meetings and articulate updates to clients
Excellent computer skills must include AutoCad experience along with moderate to advanced MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, etc. and other similarly related computer skills
