Job Title : Lab Technician
Location : Elizabeth, NJ
Hours / Schedule : 1st shift, 6 days a week (Must be flexible)
Type : Temp to Hire
Responsibilities
- Receive and prepare raw, in-process, and finished product samples for microbiological analysis.
- Maintain accurate and legible documentation
- Practice Good Laboratory Practices (GLPs)
- Review all test results against established specifications and standards.
- Perform product holds and release as applicable.
- Perform laboratory analysis per MFI standardized test methods and lab requirements to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
- Perform equipment check and safety monitoring as required
- Assist in maintaining the lab's quality control system
- Perform bacterial identifications and maintain lab database
- Sterilize microbiological wastes and biohazards
- Sample pickup (NOT REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE)
- Adhere to safe work practices, follow GMP's, maintain sanitary conditions and ensure that product quality is maintained.
- Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety
- Adhere to all safety policies and procedures
- Perform other duties as assigned.
