OSP Engineer III Job Description

Job Summary:
This individual performs detailed outside plant facility engineering tasks that include estimating, analyzing, designing, planning, budget tracking estimates against actual costs for copper and fiber cables, poles, direct buried and conduit systems.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing and interpreting engineering plans, drawings and reports;
- Preparing loop loss design for load and repeater electronics,
- Pole, conduit and buried facility design measurements to support company and industry OSP design standards and economic feasibility studies.
Qualifications:
- Ability to identify existing voice/data plant, electric, and other utilities on the site plans as well as in the field
- Knowledge of obtaining right of ways and easements where required
- Must be capable of engineering routine and specific COE/OSP work orders, including more complex projects such as road moves, etc.
