GENERAL DESCRIPTION
The Project Engineer will utilize their knowledge of engineering principles and practices specific to pressure vessel design and related support structures, as they work on multiple projects of varying size and complexity. This individual utilizes a working knowledge of ASME Boiler and Pressure Code and mechanical design principles to perform all necessary calculations to ensure safe and efficient designs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan and coordinate detailed aspects of assigned engineering work
Design and perform calculations for pressure vessels to meet the requirements of ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Codes (Section VIII, Division 1)
Design and perform calculations in design of structural components
Create models, drawings, and bills of material for product components and assemblies
Interact with clients in the development of their project.
Investigate issues and develop and implement solutions for problems arising during the manufacture of new products
Attend project meetings and present specific aspects of engineering assignments
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
1 to 5 years of relevant experience required
Proficiency in AutoCAD and 3D CAD software (Solidworks or Inventor preferred)
Knowledge of ASME Pressure Vessel Code (Section VIII, Div. 1)
Knowledge of IBC (International Building Code) and American Society of Civil Engineers ASCE?7
Knowledge of AICS, ASTM material standards
Ability to function on multidisciplinary teams
