Job Title : Research Technician Plant Studies
Location : New Haven, CT
Schedule / Hours : Monday - Friday, Full time
Compensation : $30 per hour
Type : Contract to Hire
Responsibilities :
- Routine maintenance of tissue culture
- Media preparation
- Setting up tissue culture experiments and recording of results
- Conduct molecular biology experiments including DNA / RNA extraction, PCR, gel electrophoresis, and cloning.
- Assist in gene editing projects, including CRISPR / Cas9 techniques, to modify genomes.
- Manage and maintain tissue cultures, monitoring growth, and development.
- Prepare and analyze samples using advanced molecular biology techniques.
- Collaborate with research teams to design and execute experiments.
- Maintain accurate and detailed laboratory records and data analysis.
- Ensure compliance with laboratory safety protocols and standard operating procedures.
