Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Lead

System One is seeking an Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Lead with experience overseeing and managing the day-to-day functions of both the accounts payable and accounts receivable departments. This role ensures the timely processing of payments and collections, maintains accurate financial records, and leads a small team to ensure efficiency and accuracy. The ideal candidate will have strong accounting skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise the accounts payable and receivable teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and collections.
• Monitor accounts to identify overdue payments and follow up with vendors and clients.
• Review and approve invoices, payments, and reconciliations.
• Resolve discrepancies and ensure that accounts are accurately maintained.
• Prepare financial reports for month-end and year-end closing.
• Assist in training and mentoring team members.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and accounting standards.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred but not required.
• Proven experience in accounts payable and receivable with leadership or supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting software and Excel.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage a team and work in a fast-paced environment.
