What are the responsibilities and job description for the Animal Technician position at System One?
Title: Animal Technician
Schedule: M-F 7:00am to 3:30pm
Start: ASAP
Location: Boston MA (onsite daily)
Terms: 6 month contract to hire
"MUST HAVES":
- Minimum of High School Diploma
- Experience with care of Animals (mice and rats)
- Minimal animal handling
- Willing to consider recent graduates who want to work with animals and in a lab setting!!
“Nice to Haves”:
- 1 yrs. animal husbandry/care experience
- Experience in a research animal care facility
Main Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform animal husbandry tasks
- Provide research support services
- Will provide food and water to animals
- Evaluate animal’s health and assess animals for behavioral problems
- Provide facility maintenance and sanitation
