DCS Commissioning Specialist Delta, UT System One is currently seeking a strong DCS Commissioning Specialist to complete the start-up and commissioning of a 2on1 combine cycle power plant.
DCS Commissioning Specialist Responsibilities : Ensure all safety procedures are followed. Follow all SU procedures. Oversee all Distributive Control System (DCS) commissioning activities and be accountable to the Site Commissioning Manager.
Directly supervise plant DCS technicians during commissioning phase. Maintain DCS software. Perform DCS software logic changes per : Control System Change Management Procedure Startup Phase.
Provide oversight to TFA support. Develop Functional Testing log and perform all tests prior putting systems in service Maintain log for jumper request, forced points, as well as logic change request.
Tune Plant controls in preparation for plant performance testing. Work with DCS installation representatives to monitor installation of DCS to ensure adherence to manufacturers recommendations.
Assist Mechanical Lead in performing check-out and commissioning of systems. Maintain updated Red-Line / As-Built drawings and documentation, ensuring that all modifications documented are tracked through completion both in the field and on all records.
Resolve control problems. Work with I&C Lead in updating I / O database. Work with I&C and Electrical Leads in shooting loops.
Maintain loop verification data base. Elevate issues to Site Commissioning Manager in a timely manner. Develop action plan to address any issues.
Read and adhere to Startup Administration Manual. Attend meetings as assigned by Commissioning Manager. Ensure DCS personnel attend and / or support all required walk-downs.
Submit daily activity report summary to Commissioning Manager to detail progress DCS Commissioning Specialist Requirements : Associates degree in an mechanical technology related curriculum or equivalent job related experience (two years of experience equals one year of college) Four (4) years experience in DSC commissioning of power plants.
