The Furnace Operator is capable of efficiently operating industrial furnaces while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and productivity in a refining facility.
Responsibilities
- Operate gas-fired and induction melting furnaces
- Manufacture quality materials according to specifications
- Ensure compliance with ISO9001 quality standards
- Melt, sample, and refine precious metals
- Fabricate purified silver products
- Maintain equipment and minimize operational downtime
- Perform routine and non-routine housekeeping
- Complete documentation and maintenance requests
- Communicate work priorities and safety concerns
- Manage production schedules
- Verify inventory weights
- Entry-Level Opportunity- training will be provided for those with applicable skills!
- High school diploma or GED
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Basic computer skills
- Strong organizational abilities
- Multi-tasking capabilities
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to work in extreme heat
- Capability to stand, bend, and reach for extended periods
- Plant experience preferred
- Knowledge of hazardous chemicals a plus
- Safety program experience a plus
- Forklift operation experience preferred
