Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Estimating Manager to oversee and manage project estimates for new business opportunities. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of the service industry in a construction-related role, strong bidding experience, and a deep understanding of heavy machinery moving and installation services. This role involves travel to client sites to assess project requirements and ensure accurate, competitive, and profitable estimates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the estimating process for all new projects, ensuring accurate, competitive, and profitable bids.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, and sales teams to gather detailed project requirements.
• Conduct site visits to assess project scope, conditions, and any potential challenges.
• Develop detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
• Prepare and present proposals and bids to leadership and clients.
• Monitor market trends and costs to ensure competitive pricing.
• Refine and improve estimating processes and tools to increase efficiency and accuracy.
• Maintain and update historical cost databases to improve future estimates.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company policies, safety standards, and client expectations.

Qualifications:

• Strong experience in a service-oriented, construction-related role, preferably in heavy machinery moving and installation.
• Proven track record in estimating and bidding processes.
• Familiarity with project management principles and construction methodologies.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
• Willingness to travel to client sites as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in heavy industry, engineering services, or similar fields.
• Understanding of logistical challenges associated with heavy machinery moving and installation.
