Job Summary: The Insurance Verification Specialist will be responsible for verifying patient insurance coverage, ensuring proper authorization for services, and educating patients about their insurance benefits. This role will require excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of insurance processes within the healthcare industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify patients' insurance eligibility and coverage prior to their appointments, ensuring that necessary information is accurate and complete.
- Obtain and document pre-authorization for specialty procedures and referrals as necessary.
- Communicate effectively with insurance companies, healthcare providers, and patients to resolve any discrepancies or issues regarding insurance coverage.
- Review and interpret insurance policies to determine patient benefits and financial responsibilities.
- Assist patients with understanding their benefits, co-pays, deductibles, and out-of-pocket costs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records within the electronic health record (EHR) system.

Qualifications:
