Repair, refurbish, and replace worn or damaged mechanical components, including valves, pumps, turbines, and heat exchangers.
Collaborate with maintenance teams to troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues.
Perform adjustments and alignments to ensure proper equipment functionality.
Adhere to all nuclear regulatory and safety standards, including radiation safety protocols.
Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, including inspection reports and maintenance logs.
Conduct work in compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Work closely with engineers, technicians, and other plant staff to support outage activities and routine operations.
Provide input on machining methods, tooling, and design improvements to enhance reliability.
Maintain and calibrate machine shop tools and equipment.
Ensure all tools are in compliance with plant procedures and quality assurance standards.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
Strong knowledge of machine shop tools and equipment.
Ability to work with tight tolerances and high precision.
Familiarity with nuclear power plant operations is a plus.
Journeyman Machinist certification or equivalent.
ASME or ANSI certifications for specialized machining.
