What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Technician position at System One?
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Repairs and maintains plant machinery and equipment such as mixers, coating equipment, slitters, compressed air systems, pumps and facilities equipment/infrastructure
• Provides general preventative maintenance of HVAC systems equipment (non-coolant applications)
• Provides general electrical repair/maintenance and installation electronic controls/equipment
• Performs electrical shutdown/startup of low to medium voltage equipment
• Performs preventative maintenance, inspections, and adjustments on all production and facilities equipment
• Participates in plant safety and continuous improvement programs
• Ensures all safety procedures, practices, and regulations are followed
• Purchasing of replacement and repair parts to rebuild/repair equipment in a timely manner within budgetary constraints.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
• High school diploma or GED. Post-secondary education in HVAC, electronics or industrial mechanics preferred.
• At least 5 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment with hydraulics, pneumatics and mechanics troubleshooting and repair. Experience in the converting or printing industries a plus.
• Ability to utilize illustrated parts breakdown manuals and operational manuals in the installation, repair, modification and maintenance of equipment
• Expertise and proficiency with basic office computer software and the ability to learn how to effectively use maintenance software to input data and research parts highly preferred
• Effective written and verbal communication skills • Basic shop math skills
