Manufacturing Engineer Overview
The Manufacturing Engineer drives operational efficiency and product quality. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting challenges, and supporting continuous improvement efforts while collaborating with production teams.
Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities
Production Planning: Develop cost estimates, job routings, and maintain capacity planning models. Coordinate with planning to meet customer needs.
Project Management: Lead projects focused on process improvement and cost reduction, ensuring alignment with customer goals.
Process Development: Design and improve manufacturing processes, create detailed work instructions, and reduce waste and cycle times.
Tooling & Equipment: Design, procure, and maintain tools and machinery; collaborate with vendors for upgrades.
Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support, train staff on new processes and equipment.
Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and stay current with industry best practices.

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements
- Associate’s degree in engineering or industrial engineering, or equivalent experience; Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software, CNC programming, and machine control software.
- Experience with molds and tooling is a plus.
