MECHANICAL ASSEMBLER II
Responsibilities:
- Duties include mechanical fabrication of parts for various subassemblies, assembly and alignment of opto-mechanical instruments, alignment of optical devices, and incoming inspection of machined parts.
- Must have positive attitude & strong work ethic. Successful candidate will be responsible, hard-working, trust-worthy and dependable person who is able to maintain a neat and orderly work area.
- Lay out, plan, and perform a wide variety shop floor assembly installation consisting of (but not limited to) mechanical fastening of electronic/electrical components.
- Use common assembly, hand and power tools, drills, and measuring devices such as volt meters and continuity testers as required.
- System testing consisting of checking input/output to all devices, verify correct operations of devices and systems.
- Verify parts of free of flaws, defects, or imperfections and meet all dimensional requirements as specified on drawings.
- Assist Engineering with machine testing and factory acceptance testing as needed.
- Other duties may be assigned.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or GED certificate preferred.
- Assembly experience in the electronics industry or a manufacturing environment preferred but willing to train.
- General mechanical aptitude/ability for the assembly process
- Familiarity with mechanical and electrical tools and equipment
- Must be able to lift 40 to 50 pounds.
- Attention to detail and ability to learn quickly.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions, blueprints and schematics as required a plus.
- The ability to work with and understand electromechanical functionality a plus.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, self-starter, organized.
Salary : $19 - $21
