Network Administrator (5641)
Position Location: On-site, local to Washington, DC
Position Clearance: Public Trust
Full Benefits position, W-2 pay up to $80K
Fed Gov Fed Agency requires Citizenship and ability to secure a clearance called a Public Trust
Position Responsibilities:
Monitors, controls, and isolates problems in a data communications network. Monitors all network activity. Activates/deactivates network lines according to established schedules. Performs first- and/or second-level problem determination (first level is help desk). Interfaces with users and/or network vendors.
Installs and maintains network equipment, including switches, hubs, and UPSs.
Performs site network proposal walk throughs, creates and proofs network plant proposals for participating sites utilizing software that creates graphical representations of communications networks.
Maintains and repairs the network infrastructure like operating systems, routers and other network related components.
Troubleshoots and resolves network problems as needed to ensure maximum availability, reliability and efficiency.
Provides on-site end-user training on system operation, maintenance and limited troubleshooting.
Position Qualifications
High School with 9 years (or commensurate experience)
