Position Title: NSSS Piping and Integration Engineer
Location: Remote (U.S. Based)
Position Type: Direct Hire | Full-Time
Position Summary
Reporting to the Manager of NSSS Piping and Integration, this remote position is responsible for the design and analysis of Nuclear Steam Supply System (NSSS) pipe systems in accordance with ASME BPVC Section III and other applicable regulatory standards. You will be part of the NSSS design engineering team supporting the development of modular advanced light water reactor (ALWR) systems. All work is performed under ASME NQA-1 quality assurance requirements and U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission guidelines.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform design and stress analysis of piping supports using hand calculations or ANSYS per ASME Section III NF and AISC.

Analyze ASME Section III Class 1, 2, and 3 piping systems and B31.1 systems using Bentley AutoPIPE.

Conduct component analysis using ANSYS per ASME NB-3200 (preferred).

Execute static and dynamic analysis (response spectrum, time history) for stresses caused by weight, temperature, seismic, and fluid events.

Prepare and review engineering specs, drawings, CAD models, and related documents.

Collaborate with drafters and review Siemens NX-based CAD models.

Propose design solutions to meet stress criteria (e.g., rerouting piping, reconfiguring supports).

Handle complex tasks across diverse engineering areas.

Interpret project scope and requirements.

Maintain required training and certifications.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: B.S. in Engineering (Civil or Mechanical preferred) from an ABET-accredited institution. P.E. license preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience, including:

ASME Section III NF and/or AISC support design/analysis (required)

Piping system analysis per ASME Section III and/or B31.1 (required)

Bentley AutoPIPE experience (preferred)

ANSYS experience (preferred)
Eligibility: Must be eligible to work under DOE 10 CFR Part 810 regulations.
