System One is currently seeking a  Portfolio/Cost Analyst (Hybrid) on a 12 month contract position located in Minneapolis, MN. 

Portfolio/Cost Analyst Responsibilities': 

• The primary focus is on cost management and financial oversight for various projects. 
• Assist project managers with forecasting and managing accruals to ensure accurate financial tracking. 
• Participate in budgeting activities, particularly in the region, to ensure projects stay within budgetary constraints.
• Ensure that the project portfolio meets budgetary requirements throughout the year.
• Provide support to project managers on their individual projects, including collecting information on forecasts and accruals from vendors and submitting accruals. 
• Collect information on forecasts and accruals from vendors and other sources.
• Continuously monitor the project portfolio to ensure it meets budgetary requirements throughout the year.
• Prepare and submit reports on financial status and budget adherence.
• Attend regular meetings with project managers and other stakeholders to discuss project progress and financial status. 
• Communicate with vendors to gather necessary financial information and ensure timely submission of accruals. 
• Address any financial discrepancies or issues that arise, making recommendations to keep projects on track.

Portfolio/Cost Analyst Requirements: 

• 8-10 years experience
• Extensive experience in a relevant field, ideally within construction, utilities or renewables.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and financial tracking. 
• Experience with SAP ECC and EPM (budgeting tool/Oracle) or similar technologies for financial management and budgeting.
• Solid understanding of accounting principles and practices. 
• Good understanding of accruals and their impact on projects, as well as the ability to gather and analyze forecasts. 
• Corporate level experience, focusing on cost analysis rather than just accounting. 
• Experience in project controls and construction accounting is essential.

Duration: 12 months 
Location: Minneapolis, MN 
Pay Rate: $60-65/hr 
This is a hybrid position which requires Tues, Wed and Thurs in the office, Mon and Fri remote.
