Responsibilities:
- Involved in the month-end close process for a segment of the organization. Prepares journal entries and reviews accounts for reasonableness
- Financial Statement analysis preparing variance analyses identifying and explaining reasons for changes or unusual activity
- Build processes for the segment as it evolves
- Pull information together for internal and external reporting
- Project work, general ledger account reconciliations and reviewing balance sheet trends
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, preferably audit within a public accounting firm
- BS degree in Accounting required, MS in accounting and CPA preferred
- Strong technical accounting skills and knowledge of GAAP
- Comfortable with accounting systems and strong in Excel
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Effective communicator, both written and verbal
- Team player who works well with individuals at all levels
- Accurate with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize work to meet deadlines
- Comfortable presenting information to upper management
- Flexible and adaptable
- Strong work ethic with a great attitude
