What are the responsibilities and job description for the Senior Project Manager (Nuclear) position at System One?
System One is hiring (2) Senior Project Managers (Nuclear) to support our customer in Chattanooga, Tn.
Duration: March 10, 2025 – March 04, 2026
Responsibilities:
- Oversee the planning, direction, management, coordination, implementation, execution, control, and completion of projects from initiation to completion, ensuring adherence to specifications and budget constraints.
- Lead Joint Project Teams (JPTs) and apply professional project management principles, practices, and techniques to control project schedule, cost, and performance risks.
- Ensure projects are completed within defined constraints, including time, budget, personnel, quality, and materials, while maintaining a high level of quality.
- Serve as the single point of contact for specific projects, taking a leadership role in safely managing all aspects of the project.
Budget Responsibility:
- Manage large project budgets exceeding $25 million or a portfolio of projects with an aggregate total of over $75 million.
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business Management, or a related technical field, or equivalent education, training, and/or work experience.
- Master's degree preferred but not required.
Certifications & Licenses:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) within one year of appointment to the Senior Project Manager position (exceptions/extensions apply per SPP-34.018).
- Additional professional certifications or licensure in a relevant field (e.g., PE, CPA, CFP) are preferred but not required.
