Spare Parts Representative Responsibilities
- Respond to customer inquiries (phone, email, in person) regarding parts availability, pricing, and delivery timelines.
- Help customers identify the right spare parts based on equipment specs and technical requirements.
- Proactively engage with key customers to understand their needs and leverage past orders for upselling opportunities.
- Prepare accurate quotes, ensuring correct pricing and lead times.
- Follow up on quotes, convert inquiries to sales, and meet sales targets.
- Upsell and cross-sell additional products and services.
- Collaborate with the Spare Parts Sales Manager to strengthen customer relationships.
- Enter and process orders in the ERP system.
- Work with logistics and supply chain teams to ensure timely delivery.
- Collaborate with internal teams (production, supply chain, procurement) for timely delivery of aftermarket products.
- Source aftermarket parts from suppliers, negotiating pricing and delivery terms.
- Provide input into demand planning and inventory management.
- Address and resolve customer complaints or issues promptly and professionally.
- Provide technical support, collaborating with technical teams as needed.
Spare Parts Representative Requirements
- Two-year degree in business or technical field preferred.
- 5-7 years of experience in spare parts sales for an equipment manufacturer.
- Proven experience in customer-facing roles with excellent service skills.
- Strong knowledge of supply chain management, planning, and procurement.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Infor Visual knowledge is a plus).
- Proven sales and customer service experience in manufacturing or industrial sectors.
- Ability to interpret technical information, part drawings, and specifications.
- Excellent communication, time management, and decision-making skills.
