The Structural Engineer contributes to the successful design and delivery of safe and efficient structural steel and concrete projects, primarily within the industrial sector.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural steel and concrete design and analysis in accordance with relevant codes and standards (AISC, ACI, ASCE, IBC, etc.)
- Develop and review design drawings and 3D models.
- Assist in the preparation of technical reports and specifications.
- Conduct field investigations, including observations of existing conditions and measurements.
- Potentially lead engineering teams, manage budgets, and interface directly with clients.
- Participate in professional development activities to enhance technical skills.
- Adhere to all company safety protocols and ethical guidelines.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams, clients, and other stakeholders.
- May require occasional overtime and travel.
Requirements
- Education: M.S.C.E. (Structural) preferred.
- Experience: 5 yrs. exp. in steel/concrete design for industrial projects (e.g., gas plants).
- Licenses: P.E./S.E. preferred.
- Skills: STAAD Pro, AISC 360, ACI 318.
