What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator II position at System One?
System One has multiple opportunities for individuals with
System Administrator experience who will assist with the implementation, update, and successful integration of various technical software applications and infrastructure to enhance business across various functions. These opportunities range from contract, temporary projects, to permanent roles.
Position Details: The company is 99% virtual and is a “VMWare shop”. It is 95% Windows Servers and 5% Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL). The company has 1,500 virtual servers and 125 physical hosts across two datacenters.
- Support/administer various third-party applications and internal development teams for the Company’s proprietary applications.
- Utilize proactive monitoring for all critical systems.
- The company's team maintains an on-call rotation to provide 24/7 support for all critical infrastructure within the company. This entails one week of a secondary support role and one week of a primary support role once every 6-8 weeks.
Skills Needed:
- 4 years’ experience managing VMWare, Storage (Pure experience is a plus), Backup and HA principals, Fibre Channel (Brocade is a plus).
- Requirement of 3-4 years knowledge of managing Azure and container products.
