What are the responsibilities and job description for the System Administrator position at System One?
System Administrator
Washington, DC
Scope of work:
• Clear, central point of contact for system issues as defined by our teams.
• Managing licenses and access levels: for systems and COTs (Zendesk, M-Files, Box, Zoom, Target Process). Including collaborating with IS for reporting budget drafting / monitoring for these items. They would also be responsible for onboarding and offboarding employees’ access.
• Create detailed documents on technical and configuration on systems and enterprise tools.
• Troubleshooting: Have an expert understanding of how these systems work and the ability to troubleshoot common and complex issues. Collaborate with our enterprise Cots Assist agent when needed.
• Maintaining security: Collaborate with Nisha/IS/ 3rd party support resource to ensure security of IS infrastructure and prevent unauthorized access to networks and files.
• Backing up data and tracking changes: In accordance with our drafted data/information retention policy, make sure our data is backed up and archived appropriately. Track all changes made on the back end of any system. Ensure changes are reversible and documented.
• Adhere to defined “change control” practice and seamlessly and consistently communicate with developers or engineers any system changes or modifications.
• Lead the research, selection, and integration of new COTS products with existing decision support tools to enable consistent information flow, “Single Source of Truth” and visibility of vital information.
• Account set up and support.
• Assist with initiative and operations with support where and as needed when involving responsible / respective systems. As well as being open to working with teams for customization and feature improvements.
• Lead the research and selection of an internal Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS) platform and leverage the iPaaS platform to implement integrations between existing internal systems.
• If they have programming skills – big plus.
