System Pavers is growing at a tremendous rate, and we’re looking to expand our team with a professional, driven Staff Accountant. In this position, you’ll be responsible for maintaining financial records, preparing reports, and ensuring the accuracy of financial transactions. This role supports the accounting team in day-to-day operations, including accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations, and month-end close processes. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, has strong analytical skills, and is proficient in accounting software and Excel. Additionally, the Staff Accountant will play a key role in job costing by tracking project expenses and ensuring accurate cost allocation.

Job Responsibilities:
General Ledger Maintenance:
Maintain and update the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
Record and reconcile journal entries for month-end and year-end closing.
Gross Profit Reports:
Prepare monthly gross profit report for assigned branches
Work with operations team to ensure accuracy of reported revenue and completeness of COS & related accruals
Commissions & Commissions Payable:
Understand & process commissions, reconcile GL related accounts.
Financial Reporting:
Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Generate ad-hoc financial reports for management as needed.
Bank and Account Reconciliations:
Perform bank reconciliations and resolve discrepancies.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts and ensure accuracy.
Compliance and Auditing:
Ensure compliance with company policies, GAAP, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with external audits by providing necessary documentation.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.
Implement best practices in financial reporting and record-keeping.
Experience & Skills:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, required.
Experience: 2 years of accounting experience (public or private accounting preferred).
Certifications: Progress toward CPA certification is a plus.
Construction knowledge or similar background is a plus
Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Foundation, AX Dynamic) preferred not required and advanced Excel skills required (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP).
Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines.
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

As a Staff Accountant at System Pavers, you will see visible results of your work and everything you do will make a difference to the success of our entire company. System Pavers has a fantastic and dedicated team focused on helping our customer make memories with the friends and family.
This position is a full-time, hybrid role that offers a salary of $70,000 ($33.65/hour). You will work remotely with no more than two office visits per month. We emphasize flexibility while fostering collaboration and team connection during our monthly in-person gatherings.
