We are seeking a skilled and motivated IT Project Manager / IT Program Manager to join our team on a 1-year contract basis in Irving, TX. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, excellent communication skills, and experience collaborating with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage IT projects/programs from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery meets expectations on time and within scope.
- Facilitate effective communication across teams, stakeholders, and leadership to drive alignment and progress.
- Lead daily and weekly stand-up meetings, status reporting, and ensure key project updates are shared transparently.
- Manage project risks and issues, implementing mitigation strategies and ensuring resolutions are tracked.
- Utilize Jira and/or Azure DevOps to manage workflows, track progress, and ensure project transparency.
- Apply fundamental project/program management principles, including Agile and Waterfall methodologies, to deliver results.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in IT project or program management.
- Proficient in Jira and/or Azure DevOps for task tracking and collaboration.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage and align diverse teams, stakeholders, and leadership effectively.
- Solid understanding of project management principles, including Agile and Waterfall delivery models, risk management, and issue resolution.
- Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to managing competing priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Certification in project management methodologies such as PMP, PMI-ACP, or CSM is a plus.
- Experience managing IT projects in dynamic and fast-paced environments.
