Position: Project Manager (Public Health Systems Modernization Program)
Location: Remote (Occasional onsite may be required in Bismarck, ND)
Contract Duration: January 2025 – June 2027 (40 hrs/week)
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead and deliver large-scale technology projects as part of a Public Health Systems Modernization Program. This role involves managing complex, multi-year initiatives with a focus on ensuring timely, on-budget delivery of high-quality solutions. Candidates may also be assigned to other government technology projects as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership to project teams and facilitate meetings such as planning, status updates, and brainstorming sessions.
- Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, communication plans, and governance documentation using tools like Microsoft Project and SharePoint.
- Define project goals, objectives, milestones, and functional requirements.
- Collaborate with internal and external teams to ensure resource availability and resolve conflicts.
- Conduct risk analysis and manage project issues, ensuring effective change management.
- Ensure project deliverables are clearly defined and successfully achieved.
- Communicate project status to stakeholders and coordinate with vendors, consultants, and cross-functional teams.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, management information systems, project management, business administration, or a related field, with 6 years of project management experience; OR
- A degree in another field with 7 years of relevant experience; OR
- An associate degree with 9 years of experience; OR
- No degree with 11 years of hands-on project management experience.
- Proven experience managing large and complex projects, including budgets of $1M .
- Proficiency with Microsoft Project and excellent communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
- Experience managing projects in the government sector.
