Position Overview
We are seeking a System Administrator II to support our IT infrastructure, including system administration, network components, backups, and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in Windows Server, Azure, VMware, and network administration to ensure a secure and high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and maintain VMware, Windows, and Linux server environments, including provisioning and decommissioning servers.
- Administer on-premises and Azure Active Directory, including user and group management, permissions, and security configurations.
- Oversee core IT infrastructure, including servers, video, data, and voice systems.
- Implement and maintain backup and redundancy strategies to ensure system reliability.
- Manage and support Office 365 applications, including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.
- Oversee mobile device management (Apple, Android, Windows OS).
- Troubleshoot complex, escalated IT issues and provide timely resolutions.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, processes, and policies.
- Collaborate with third-party vendors for seamless project execution.
- Manage software and hardware licensing contracts.
- Lead and participate in IT projects, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and company governance.
- Research and recommend new technologies to enhance IT operations.
- Provide mentorship and training to IT support staff, fostering a high-quality service culture.
Required Qualifications
- 4 years of experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator, or similar role.
- Expertise in Windows Server administration, including DNS, DHCP, Terminal Services, File Servers, Print Management, and Group Policy.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts, firewalls, and routing.
- Experience with VMware, Linux, and virtualized server environments.
- Hands-on administration of Microsoft Active Directory (on-prem & Azure AD), Microsoft Intune, and Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working in a team-based IT environment, providing leadership in system design, deployment, and support.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with scripting and automation.
- Proficiency in creating and updating IT process documentation.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS).
- Bachelor s degree in a related field is a plus.
