Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced Microsoft Azure cloud engineer with expertise in the strategy, design, development, and implementation of large-scale projects in the cloud. The ideal candidate is experienced in cloud-based tech, with a firm grasp of emerging technologies, platforms, and applications, and ability to customize them to help our business become more secure and efficient. The Systems Engineer position will work within the Infrastructure Services Section to provide configuration and support, technical expertise, and administration of Azure and On-Prem Active Directory services and servers knowledge of additional tools and services, such as IIS, SCOM, Powershell scripting, and ability to work in a collaborative environment is essential. An extensive knowledge of cloud maintenance and Azure certification AZ103/104 Is required. Contract is expected to renew annually at the beginning of the State's fiscal year on October 1st.
Responsibilities:
- Senior Systems Administrator shall provide the following deliverables per directions of and assignment by the Agency Project Sponsor and/or the Manager.
- Knowledge of EntraID and app management
- Experience with Entra ID Connect and identity synchronization
- Experience in PowerShell scripting or other automation scripting
- Familiarity with SSO, SAML/OIDC and authentication protocols, NTLM, Kerberos, OAuth etc..
- Upgrade and configure system software and hardware components as needed
- Assist in formation and maintenance of system standards
- Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems and key processes
- Administer, manage, and maintain Group Policy in a Windows Server environment
- Review system and application logs, verify completion of scheduled jobs such as backups
- Repair and recover from system failures
- Maintain Azure resources, user access, services, making recommendations and changes to improve performance as needed.
- Work closely with other departments to address system and infrastructure concerns
Qualifications:
5 years of the following:
- EntraID and app management
- Entra ID Connect and identity synchronization
- PowerShell scripting or other automation scripting
- SSO, SAML/OIDC and authentication protocols, NTLM, Kerberos, OAuth etc.
- Upgrading and configuring system software and hardware components
- Administering, managing, and maintaining Group Policy in a Windows Server environment
- Maintain Azure resources, user access, services
- Active Directory administration
- Windows Server administration
Experience Preferred:
- Strongly prefer that candidate have experience with Linux admin.
- Ubuntu or RedHat preferred.
Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or other related field or equivalent work experience. Microsoft AZ103/104 certification is required.
