S³ Inc. is seeking a Director of Finance to join our Corporate Business Operations team at our corporate HQ in Cummings Research Park, Huntsville, AL. This is not a teleworking position. The duty site is 615 Discovery Drive, Huntsville, AL 35806.

Description:
- Financial Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement the company’s financial strategies, aligning with the organization’s goals and objectives.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Oversee the preparation and monitoring of yearly budgets, internal rates, ensuring financial resources are allocated efficiently, as well as monthly variance analysis.
- Financial Reporting: Ensure the accuracy of financial statements and reports and compliance with regulations (e.g., GAAP, Government Compliance, CAS). You will work closely with the Controller.
- Cash Flow Management: Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, ensuring the business has sufficient liquidity for operations. Prepare and maintain a 13-week cash flow model.
- Risk Management: Identify and mitigate financial risks, protecting the organization from potential financial losses. Ensures compliance with internal procedures, DAR/FAR government regulations, Contractor Purchasing System Review (CPSR), and CAS compliance.
- Team Leadership: Lead and manage the finance, international, and pricing teams, ensuring they are motivated, efficient, and trained in best practices.
- Internal Controls: Implement strong internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial integrity. Follow all compliance with DAR/FAR government regulations.
- Management: Responsible for the employment, training, motivation, and discipline of direct reports.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Financial Expertise: Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and financial systems. A Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- MBA or CPA (Required)
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze complex financial data and make strategic decisions for all companies.
- Leadership and Communication: Excellent leadership and communication skills to manage a team and interact with senior management, present financial results, and give presentations to Sr. Leadership. At least 10 years of Management experience, with at least 4 years of Management experience within a Federal Government contractor.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with financial regulations, tax laws, and industry-specific guidelines. You will need to have Professional-level knowledge of GAAP, DCAA, and CAS/CASB principles.
- Technology Proficiency: Experience with financial software, mastery of Microsoft Office suite, an ERP system, and data analytics tools. Expert-level mastery of Deltek Costpoint. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, including multi-company Costpoint experience.
- Problem-Solving: Strong critical thinking skills to solve financial challenges and drive improvements.
- Calculating Government Rates: Experience calculating corporate rates, such as indirect burden rates, forward pricing rates, and provisional billing rates for multiple subsidiaries – CONUS and OCONUS.
