Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Payroll Accountant with minimum 3 years experience in Deltek Costpoint. The successful candidate will be responsible for processing time sheets, labor, leave, payroll, related payroll tax reporting and reconciliation of General Ledger related accounts ensuring compliance with government regulations. This is an exempt onsite-only role, requiring the candidate to work from our Huntsville, AL office.
Key Responsibilities:
· Process timesheets, labor, leave, and payroll using Deltek Costpoint.
· Serve as liaison with HR and employees on all payroll-related issues.
· Research federal and state payroll issues and ensure company compliance with tax regulations.
· Maintain payroll records and reconcile General Ledger related accounts.
· Provide support for annual financial audit and DCAA ICE Sch L reconciliation.
· Create annual labor and payroll-related schedules.
· Collaborate with management and other departments to ensure timely and accurate recording of labor.
· Develop, review, and implement accounting policies and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
· Provide backup support for other payroll-related needs.
Requirements:
· Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
· Minimum 3 years of experience processing timesheets, labor, leave, and payroll in Deltek Costpoint.
· Government Contractor Accounting experience (Required).
· Knowledge of GAAP, FAR, and CAS compliance standards and regulations.
· Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organization skills
· Proficiency with Microsoft Excel at intermediate or higher level
· Understanding and willingness to work extra hours as needed to meet deadlines
