Qualifications:
A valid Georgia Teaching Certificate in assigned teaching field as required by the Professional Standards Commission |
Instructional Technology certification preferred |
Elementary Education (P-5) preferred |
The Board of Education and the Superintendent may accept alternatives to some of the above requirements.
Essential Functions:

Delivers STEM/STEAM-oriented instruction through STEM/STEAM Challenges and Project- and Problem-Based Learning |
|
Ensures instructional strategies and assessments align to STEM/STEAM curriculum goals and student learning objectives |
|
Uses an integrated approach to technology, fostering critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication among the core STEM/STEAM subjects |
|
Manages the classroom/lab environment through facilitation and inquiry-based learning practices |
|
Identifies resources that will support STEM/STEAM implementation within each school served |
|
Attends professional development related to STEM/STEAM programming |
|
Works with school administrators and staff to assist in the organization, development, and coordination of school level STEM/STEAM events and activities |
|
Follows the Paulding County School District’s job description for a classroom teacher |
|
Complies with state and district level regulations and policies |
|
Complies with the rules of the Professional Standards Commission code of ethics for educators |
|
Performs other duties as assigned by Superintendent or designee |
