Under the direction of the Regional Technology & Product Director, you will play a critical role in defining and executing our product strategy, driving innovation, and delivering world-class products to our customers. You will serve as the product champion, ensuring that the operational and sales efforts are aligned to the business strategy. As a part of our Product Management team, you will effectively communicate and collaborate closely with sales, engineering, marketing, and group Product Area Directors (PADs) to deliver on customers’ expectations according to our North American strategy.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and articulate a clear product vision and strategy in alignment with the company's overall goals and objectives.
  • Conduct thorough market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities, trends, and customer needs.
  • Manages list prices with input from functions such as sales, operations, engineering by utilizing market research data; reviewing production and sales costs; anticipating volume; costing special and customized orders.
  • Prepare and present business cases for new products, significant product re-design, cost reduction efforts and product obsolescence to the Strategic Product Planning (SPP) group.
  • Create and manage product roadmaps, prioritizing features and enhancements based on customer feedback, business impact, and technical feasibility.
  • Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, and sales teams to ensure successful product development, launch, and adoption.
  • Clearly define product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria, and communicate these effectively to the development team.
  • Advocate for a user-centric approach to product development, ensuring that products are intuitive, user-friendly, and meet customer needs.
  • Conduct user testing, gather feedback, and iterate on product features to achieve optimal user satisfaction.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success and make data-driven decisions.
  • Plan and execute successful product launches, including marketing strategies and sales enablement.
  • Manage products throughout their lifecycle, from inception to retirement, ensuring they remain competitive and relevant.

Skills, Education, and/or Experience

The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the Product Manager candidates for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Finance, Marketing or Statistical Analysis required.
  • Project Management degree, certificate, designation, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 5 years of demonstrated success defining and launching products, HVAC and manufacturing industries preferred.
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication required, both official languages an asset.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills required.
  • High attention to detail required.
  • Sales and profit analysis, product promotion, and customer interaction experience required, preferably in the HVAC and manufacturing industries.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, cross-functional team, as well as independently.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically.
  • Thorough knowledge of product management tools and methodologies.
  • Passionate about driving innovation, understanding customer needs, and shaping the future of our products.

Job Conditions


Physical Demands

  • Moderate physical effort – able to lift between 10 and 50lbs at times.
  • Ability to stand for 1-3 hours at a time.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions for long periods of time.
  • Must be able to travel a minimum of 25% to meet to meet regional needs.

Work Environment

  • Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office
  • May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
  • May use chemicals or other in accordance with MSDS.
  • May operate machinery in close proximity or with objects exposed to eyes or face.
