Under the direction of the VP of Sales, you will be responsible for leading and developing a cross-functional team responsible for multiple service and support functions across the organization. You will guide the efforts of team members performing various customer service, technical support, technical applications, inside sales, and sales support duties. This leadership role works in partnership with their sales channel leaders within the North America business, in service of those that serve our channel partners and end-user customers.

As part of our Sales team, you will build relationships with key stakeholders, overseeing the growth and development of this newly formed centralized team. You will help develop and manage the process from initial contact to sales closure, order fulfillment, and after-sale support. This role demands a blend of sales & sales operations acumen, strategic planning, customer experience, people leadership, and talent development skills.

Requirements

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Lead and motivate the team to achieve business objectives, including setting individual goals and performance metrics.
  • Build relationships with all sales channels to connect customer and business needs, with operational performance to drive financial results and grow market share.
  • Work closely with the sales team to define needs, targeting specific workflows to enable greater effectiveness within the Sales Organization. Examples include order intake, order management, account development, sales quotes, administrative tasks, customer development.
  • Improve response time to customer inquiries through documented standard work, process improvements, and training of new team.
  • Actively participate in growth initiatives including operations, planning, production, sales, and customer service alignment.
  • Execute communication & engagement initiatives through a strategic plan with the goal of building a high performing team, communicating process and policy changes.
  • Support talent development strategies by investing in the process, supporting recruiting events, conducting interview days, delivering performance reviews, and leading through an ongoing coaching & development dialogue.
  • Help enable the development and execution of sales strategies for identified target markets and channel growth strategies, ensuring alignment with Systemair’s overall business objectives and strategies.
  • Generate detailed reports on business results, sales forecasts, and customer insights for management.
  • Identify opportunities for new product development and enhancements based on customer feedback and market trends.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards across all distribution channels.
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

Education

The following are education and experience criteria used to evaluate the suitability of the Regional Sr. Manager, Sales Support and Customer Experience – NA Profile or candidates for the position:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a senior sales and/or leadership role, with a proven track record in business process utilization and talent development.
  • Strong understanding of a matrixed, multi-channel sales organization that sells through third parties and independent distribution is ideal.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.
  • Strong influential, persuasion, and statistical analysis skills.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or other CRM.
  • Strong ethical standards and a high level of integrity.

Physical Demands

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and looking at a computer.
  • Light physical effort – able to lift up to 20lbs at times.
  • Must be able to travel a minimum or 25% to meet regional needs.

Work Environment

  • Factory, Warehouse, Distribution Center, Office.
  • May be exposed to loud, repetitive sounds from machinery or equipment.
