Job Title: Laboratory Technician Lv2
Prefer 2 years laboratory experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00-4:30 PM CST; some occassional rotational weekends (Saturdays or Sundays) work 1-2 hours. It's not every weekend and the hours will even out to 40 hours per weekend. When they do work on the weekend they can work an 1 hour or 2 hours less during the week to equal 40 hours week.
- The Laboratory Technician will conduct day to day tasks supporting a molecular biology and fermentations R&D teams.
- Once trained, the technician will be expected to keep up with daily activities which will include, along with other general support duties, media and plate preparation, restocking of lab supplies, cleaning and sterilization of glassware, collecting and autoclaving waste, and maintaining the lab support areas of the lab.
- The preferred candidate will have some lab experience and a good understanding of sterile techniques and excellent biosafety behaviors.
- It will also be important to have good basic math skills and an ability to operate day to day under minimal direct supervision. Technicians will also perform standard upkeep and cleaning protocols on multiple pieces of scientific equipment and become familiar with their general function.
- This position will include some rotational weekend work, typically collecting samples for other scientists.
- Bachelors Degree preferred but not required

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
