Quality Control Chemist (Lab Analyst - Chemist I)

We are seeking a highly motivated Quality Control Chemist (Lab Analyst - Chemist I) to join our team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about laboratory analysis, quality control, and instrumentation in a dynamic and regulated environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in chemical and physical sciences, hands-on experience in chemical analyses, and the ability to work independently while troubleshooting and solving technical issues.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct chemical and physical testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using various analytical techniques.
- Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory instruments such as HPLC, GC, FTIR, UV-Vis, Dissolution, and other analytical equipment.
- Ensure compliance with Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and FDA regulations.
- Accurately document and analyze test results, ensuring high data integrity and compliance with laboratory standards.
- Investigate and resolve deviations or unexpected results in testing, demonstrating strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Quality Assurance, R&D, and Manufacturing to support product quality and regulatory compliance.
- Participate in laboratory audits, instrument calibrations, and method validations as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized laboratory environment, adhering to EHS (Environmental, Health & Safety) policies.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree (BS) in Chemistry, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline with a strong chemistry background.
- Hands-on experience in laboratory analysis and instrumentation preferred (internships or academic experience accepted).
- Strong mathematical skills for calculations related to sample preparation and data analysis.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills to effectively document and present findings.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate sound judgment in problem-solving.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and familiarity with laboratory software such as Empower, ChemStation, or LabWare LIMS is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 1 years of experience in a Quality Control (QC) or analytical laboratory setting within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or chemical industries.
- Knowledge of cGMP, USP, ICH, and FDA regulations.
- Experience with method development, validation, and transfer of analytical techniques.

Pay: $50,885.00 - $53,547.00 per year
