SEG is seeking an Aegis Weapons Systems Trainer to support our customer in King George, VA.
What you will do...
Develops; organizes; and conducts training and educational programs for Fleet sailors in support of Aegis Training and Readiness Center in Dahlgren, VA. Training program requires ability to conduct traditional classroom instruction and support maintenance training to the officer level; as well as training on the operational employment of Aegis Combat System specifically the Aegis Weapons System (AWS).

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related technical discipline, or the equivalent combination of education, technical certifications or training, or work/military experience.
- Seven (7) years of Experience with the required system as either a maintenance technician supervisor or operator supervisor with responsibility for teaching the applicable system or function task to others in a journeyman level training environment.
- Of the Seven years, one (1) year of Experience as an Instructor in a Navy Training Environment including presentation skills, public speaking, curriculum maintenance, writing learning objectives, preparing test items, evaluating instructional materials and the results of instruction and counseling students on academic learning problems.
- CSC qualified and (Navy enlisted classifications) NEC 1341/V46A (AWS BL 5) or NEC 1361/V58A (AWS BL7) or NEC 1107/V09A (SPY BL 8) or NEC 1388/V71A (SPY BL 9) or NEC 1387/V70A (SPY BL 9 DIFF) or NEC 1113/V13A and NEC 9502/805A (Instructor).
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience as trainer/instructor in support of SCSTC/ATRC/TACTRAGRU
- The following NEC’s are preferred but not required (SPY BMD 3.6) or NEC 1093/V04A BMD or NEC 1093/V04A (BMD 4.0) or NEC 1387/V70A (SPY BMD 5.0).
- Must be able to support training with extended periods on your feet while instructing. Travel may be up required to 5% of time
