Systems Engineering Group, a subsidiary of Axient Corporation needs a full time Cybersecurity Technical Specialist to assist our experienced ISSM with the daily upkeep and advancement of our classified networks and computer infrastructure. This position would functionally be an Cybersecurity Technical Specialist reporting to the ISSM but would also include other IT related work around the workplace. This position is to support primarily Windows Operating Systems. This position is open to a less experienced individual looking to grow or an experienced individual looking for a change to make an impact with a new company.
What you will do...
Primary responsibilities will include:
- Assist ISSM with maintaining classified networks
- Assist Classified Internal Network Architect lead work station compliance and architecture changes
- Assist with overall classified network compliance for inspections and overall readiness
- Contribute to the overall safety of our classified networks, workstation and data in regard to cyber security and compliance
- Contribute to the overall Information Systems team, and the Navy business unit in adjacent work areas when needed
Skills you will need...
Requirements:
- EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science degree in IT, Cybersecurity or Computer Science
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance
- 1-5 years of experience
- Self-motivated and confident, looking to grow and learn
- Ability to work well with a team
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Familiar use of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Experience with Computer and Network security
- Relevant Certifications in Computer security and network security
- Security or at least one certifications as directed by DoD 8140 and outlined in DoD 8570.01
Desired Qualifications/Skills:
- ACTIVE DoD TOP SECRET CLEARANCE or ability to get one
- Information System Security experience
- MCSA/MCSE certs for Windows admins
- RHEL certs for Linux Admins
- Cisco (CCNA) for network admins
- CCNP, CISA, CISSP, CISM CASP, CCNA
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security or technical area
- Experience in networking configuration
- 0-10 years related experience
