What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Technician: Law Enforcement Vehicle Upfitter position at Systems for Public Safety, Inc.?
Systems for Public Safety, Inc. is a Ford QVM automotive "up-fitter" and maintenance facility dedicated to serving police and fire fleets. We upfit vehicles for cities and counties all over Washington, Oregon, and Alaska.
We are looking for someone who loves a challenge and being part of a team, who enjoys working hard, learning new things, working with their hands, and is detail oriented.
The Quality Control Technician is responsible for the final step in the installation process to make sure everything on the vehicle functions and is installed correctly. The QC tech is also responsible for programming the light and siren systems. Some customer service is also required from time to time.
Requirements:
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must have experience with basic tools
- Must have IT/programming experience. 1-2 years preferred
- Some automotive experience preferred
- Must be able to communicate effectively and have good work ethic
- Must be able to lift 60 pounds
- Pre employment drug screening and background check required by contractual obligation, services provided by company. Not an automatic disqualification.
- Emergency Vehicle Technician certification required within 12 months of hire (will help with prep).
